Excavation at Ballinrea 3, as part of the Cork to Ringaskiddy Project, Co. Cork,
revealed a post-medieval to early modern field boundary and two undated pits. A modern field drain and several non-archaeological features were also recorded.
Ten sherds of post-medieval pottery and several environmental samples were recovered during the excavation. The environmental samples have been processed and a sample, from one of the pits, has been selected for further analysis and radiocarbon dating.
