The Medieval town of Inishannon is known from documentary sources to have existed since at least 1256, but its full extent is unknown. Works associated with a housing development in the town were monitored under a reactivation of this licence. The development is comprised of the renovation of two houses on the main street and the construction of five new dwellinghouses to the rear. The area monitored had been extensively disturbed by previous buildings and services.

No archaeological features or artefacts were found.
