Monitoring of pipe laying associated with the rehabilitation of 3,760m of water pipe undertaken on behalf Cork County Council and Irish Water did not reveal any archaeological features, deposits or artefacts. Monitoring was only carried out for parts of the scheme where the pipe was laid in an open-cut trench, including within the Zone Of Notification for souterrain CO027-115. It was observed that glacial till and limestone bedrock lie directly beneath the road surface in the monitored areas.
