Archaeological testing as part of an assessment was carried out in advance of the construction of an extension to an existing dwelling. the extension measured c. 10m x 6m, and virtually the entire area was tested.
The trenches contained garden soil with modern habitation material, underlain by grey alluvial clay subsoil.
No material of an archaeological nature was observed during the testing.
