Twenty five trenches were mechanically across the site of a proposed residential development. Archaeological deposits were identified extending across and within the area of a sub-rectangular enclosure previously identified in a geophysical survey.

Additional small-scale features were found extending to the west, north and southwest of the enclosure suggesting the presence of pits, hearths, post-holes and a possible sub-circular structure. Prehistoric pottery, possibly of Bronze Age date, was found in topsoil adjacent to a deposit. The sub-rectangular enclosure will be preserved in situ and the adjoining features preserved by record (excavated).
