Monitoring of works on the Albert Road and Victoria Road Watermain Rehabilitation and Water Distribution Schemes, Cork City, County Cork, revealed previously truncated tram rails on Albert Road but no archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were encountered.

The scheme was monitored in two locations, Albert Road and Victoria Road, where pipes were laid in open-cut trenches. At the Albert Road site three pieces of metal tramline were identified protruding from the southern side of the trench. The easternmost piece of track faced to the north and 4m to its west was a pair of tracks, both facing to the north-east and 1m apart. All three tramlines were 0.32m below the uppermost asphalt road surface and had previously been truncated.
