An archaeological watching brief was undertaken between 8 and 18 November 2022 at Belfast Road, Muckamore, Antrim—Phase 2.

Testing comprised a series of 10 test trenches, and an open area topsoil strip adjacent to motte, ANT050:075, and icehouse, IHR07727, which had dug into the motte.

No archaeological material of any sort was uncovered within the investigation area.
