The archaeological watching brief was undertaken on 12 September 2022.
A BH3 Evaluation was requested to try and identify any remains of a souterrain (ANT 009:210), that is marked with the Northern Ireland Sites and Monuments Record (NISMR) northeast of the proposed development area.
Test trenching across the site uncovered no material relating to this monument and nothing of archaeological significance. Further discussions with the landowner suggests that the souterrain is marked in the wrong place and is probably located further to the west.
