The extension of a prefabricated building beside the main school at Scoil Mhuire, Abbeyside, Dungarvan, involved clearing a shelf in the footprint of the building. Monitored groundworks in 2020, for the first part of the building, did not penetrate imported topsoil and building debris from the 20th century school, nor did the monitored works in 2021. The building is within the zone of archaeological potential for Abbeyside, Dungarvan.
