Archaeological test trenching was carried out on 14 June 2021 using a mechanical excavator fitted with a flat grading bucket. The trenches were mainly positioned across open green space to fully investigate the archaeological potential of the site. One proposed trench targeting a geophysical signature of potential archaeological significance could not be excavated due to significant vegetative encroachment.

No features of archaeological significance were recorded within the excavated test trenches.
