Testing was undertaken in December 2019 in response to a request for further information with regard to a planning application to construct an all-weather equestrian training facility at Derra, Astee, Listowel, Co. Kerry. Seven test trenches (T1–T7) with total meterage of c.590m were opened across the proposed development site. Nothing of archaeological interest was noted in any of the test trenches.
