Testing was undertaken in late March 2019 in response to a request for further information with regard to a planning application to construct a residential housing estate at Commons East, Ardfert, Co. Kerry. Fourteen test trenches were opened across the proposed development site. Nothing of archaeological interest was noted in any of the trenches.
