Pre-development testing took place with the aid of a single trench. The stratigraphy encountered comprised of sod and topsoil overlying a light brown grey gravel clay which overlay natural. Finds retrieved included a small battery, some plastic, 4 nails and 2 fragments of animal bone. No features of archaeological significance were recorded during the course of the test trenching.
