Testing was undertaken at “Roselawn” and “Aberdour”, Newpark, Stillorgan Road, Foxrock, Dublin 18, on 10 September 2019, prior to a proposed residential development. There are no recorded monuments within 500m of the site. The nearest is the site of a castle (DU023-041), c. 595m to the east, within the townland of Deansgrange. The trenches targeted open green space that has not been previously disturbed within the proposed development area. Testing revealed nothing of archaeological significance.
