An application to import inert construction/demolition material into low-lying lands in Garrantanvally townland, Listowel led to a request for a test excavation to be undertaken. The proposed development site is located approximately, 1.6km south-west of Listowel town within a 1ha site. A total of six mechanically excavated trenches were investigated and no features of archaeological significance found.
