This cremation pit was discovered during monitoring of construction of a windfarm at Kill Hill, Co. Tipperary. No other features were present in the exposed areas. This pit measured 0.31m x 0.33m x 0.08m and was fully excavated; the cut only supported one fill. It contained bone and charcoal combined with a silty clay. The bone was examined and 3 fragments were identified as human. The charcoal yielded viable ash which was dated to 1222-1018 BC (OxCal 13 95.4%).
