It is proposed, by Wexford Borough Council, to construct a short length of new roadway to the north-west of Wexford town. The new roadway will form the second phase of the Wexford Town Inner Relief Road. The proposed road scheme will be located within the townlands of Ballyboggan and Stonybatter.
Testing of approximately 650m of the proposed road scheme was undertaken during January 2011. The testing did not uncover any archaeological features or deposits.
