Eight test-trenches were machine-excavated on site in the area of the proposed development at Killowen, Kenmare, which is near a standing stone. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted during testing. The Kealnagower Stream borders the north-west side of the proposed development site running east–north-east to west–south-west. An archaeological wading and metal-detection survey of the Kealnagower Stream was also carried out. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were recovered from the streambed.
