Liberty Hill, Cortober, 193502 299010
The trench down the west end of Liberty Hill in Cortober was down the middle of the old road leading from Sligo and Boyle up on to high ground just before Carrick-on-Shannon Bridge. The section revealed a sequence of modern fills but as the trench line was towards the centre of the road it did not record the rutting that would have been caused by passing horses and coaches.
