Testing was undertaken at the site of a single house in late March. The site is located a minimum of 50m from a crannog (site) situated at the junction of a small stream and the River Blackwater. A total of eight trenches of varying lengths and orientation were excavated within the boundaries of the site. Nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
