Excavation over the past three years has revealed the presence of a Neolithic ritual pond (from which were recovered the fragments of five polished stone axes), three Bronze Age ring-barrows, a large plectrum-shaped Early Christian enclosure with associated house structures, earth-cut souterrains and a possible road. Also uncovered were three discrete clusters of narrow curving gullies, possibly the remnants of structures. The remains of a Beaker vessel were recovered in close association with one of these clusters. Post-excavation analysis of this site had yet to begin at the time of writing.
