Excavation of the area opened in 2006 (Excavations 2006, No. 2061) was completed this year, except for the walls, which were only partly accessible because of the broadband cable, and which await a decision by the DoEHLG. The remaining features, such as drains and pits, were fully excavated, and the intervening baulks were removed. A number of further drains and gullies were uncovered and further traces of natural streams which were infilled before, or early in, the medieval period.
