Test-trenches were undertaken as part of the planning permission process to construct a house at Kilmacowen, which is located c. 6km south-west of Sligo town. The site is within the constraint area for a possible ring-ditch. Five test-trenches were opened on the site. No archaeological features or deposits were found during testing.
