The proposed development at Carhan Lower, Caherciveen, comprises two fields sloping slightly down from south to north on the south side of the estuary of the Valentia River. Ten test-trenches were machine excavated on site in the area of the proposed development. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted during testing.
