Testing and subsequent monitoring were undertaken in March 2007 at the site of proposed recreational area, including dressing room, toilets, etc., at Abbeylands, Dunmore, Co. Galway. The development site was located east of Dunmore Abbey and within the zone of potential surrounding Dunmore town. Two trenches excavated as part of the pre-development testing and archaeological monitoring of ground disturbance revealed no features of archaeological significance.
