Three test-trenches were opened on the site of an extension to a national school in the townland of Dooish. The site is located just to the west of an enclosure site. Testing confirmed that areas behind the existing school had been infilled to a substantial depth, up to 1.4m deep, and landscaped in recent years. In contrast the natural deposition was encountered at 0.46m below ground level in the third opening. No archaeological features or remains were uncovered in any of the test-trenches.
