Pre-development testing was carried out on 10 August 2007 in advance of the construction of a dwelling house within the zone of archaeological potential of a ringfort at Kilbarry, Dunmanway. Four test-trenches were excavated. The stratigraphy consisted of 0.3m of a brown loamy topsoil overlying a gravelly boulder clay. No archaeological features or finds were noted.
