Four test-trenches were excavated at the site of a proposed housing development in Grenagh village, immediately to the north of the 19th-century Roman Catholic church (CO051–111(03)), and consists of three 19th/20th-century road-front houses and the associated ground to the rear. The development site is located within the zone of archaeological potential of the church, a ringfort (CO051–111(01)) and a standing stone (CO051–111(02)). The remains of the random rubble wall were recorded and probably relate to an earlier boundary within the site. No other finds or features of archaeological interest were noted during testing.
