This site was located within Contract 5 (Kells to north of Kells) of the proposed M3 Clonee to north of Kells motorway and was identified during advance testing by David Bayley (Excavations 2004, No. 1205, 04E1054). Full resolution in October 2006 revealed a single, isolated oval-shaped pit (1.34m by 0.86m by 0.4m), which originally had been identified during testing. No diagnostic artefacts were contained within it.
