Eight test-trenches were opened on the site of a proposed single housing development in the townland of Kilmurry, Slieverue. This site is within the constraint area for Kilmurry stone alignment. Four of the trenches were positioned around a bungalow that will be demolished should planning permission be granted. The other trenches were sited in the garden of the bungalow. Nothing of archaeological provenance was discovered in any of the test-trenches, apart from a post-medieval/modern drainage ditch extending east–west and parallel to the southern gable of the bungalow.
