A derelict garage was demolished on a small site in Dalkey village. There was no evidence for any archaeological deposits or features revealed from the trenches opened. Two concrete slabs overlay a mixed infill of cobbles, brick and granite pieces. The cobbles formed an earlier ground surface broken up with the introduction of the later concrete slab. The natural granite, which forms part of the Dalkey stratigraphy, was evident close to present street level.
