Monitoring is currently being carried out on the Donegal town sewage scheme. There were no archaeological discoveries in 2006 during monitoring of works for a pumping station close to Donegal Abbey, or in several sections of pipelaying, mainly along roads to a treatment plant or for the outfall pipe. Monitoring of works will be completed in early 2007.
