Testing of a proposed development at Codrum, Macroom, Co. Cork, was undertaken as part of an impact assessment. The site is located within the constraint zone for a largely levelled ringfort (CO070–047). The development consists of the construction of six sheltered homes and the retention of a staff apartment to the rear of an existing nursing home. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during testing.
