The site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme: Kilcullen to Powerstown. A small area was identified during the testing phase of the scheme as having an isolated charcoal-rich feature. On removal of the topsoil, no features of archaeological significance were revealed.
