The private dwelling to be built at Greenan, Kill, was the subject of an earlier assessment by the writer. A request to have the groundworks monitored was included in the planning permission. The site is east of a field that contains an impressive stone pair (SMR 16:44, Lissahane stone pair), one standing, the other prone. The general area has a number of archaeological sites. Despite its proximity to such a multitude of sites of archaeological importance, the groundworks did not damage or disturb any features. Indeed, there was an unusual dearth of finds of any period in the area cleared.
