The site of the proposed development is located between Markievicz Road and Holborn Street in Sligo town. The proposed development is to consist of the demolition of two buildings and the construction of a single new building. The site is located within the zone of archaeological potential for Sligo town. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered in either of the two trenches excavated. The deposits encountered indicate that at some point the entire area was infilled, probably the result of 19th-century building work.
