The proposed jetty will be built directly north of the proposed boat-training centre c. 100m south-east of Goose Island and c. 250m east of Hodson’s Island. A possible crannog, SMR 49:6, is located on Hodson’s Island.
A non-intrusive inspection of the proposed development area’s lakebed was carried out in May 2004. Topography and lakebed composition was noted. No features of archaeological significance were identified.
