A large field was tested in January 2004 in advance of the construction of several housing units. Three existing buildings scheduled for demolition stood at the northern end of the site. Two of these were modern, but one was a ruinous mud-and-stone vernacular dwelling dating possibly from the 18th century.

Testing took the form of the mechanical digging of three long strips to subsoil. The excavations revealed no features or finds of archaeological significance.
