Monitoring was undertaken in order to conserve a 17th-century inscribed stone during the renovation of the old Galway Advertiser offices in Church Lane, Galway. The stone has been preserved in situ and is clearly visible in an alcove set into the refurbished wall. The monitoring ensured that the stone was not damaged during the renovation project.
