Monitoring and test-trenching was carried out to the east and west of the existing N25/Kinsale Road Roundabout as part of the archaeological assessment of the proposed infrastructural development works in the area. Eight test-pits were excavated in 2002 (Excavations 2002, No. 279). Three further test-pits and a 100m-long test-trench, along with three side trenches, were excavated in 2003. No finds or features of archaeological interest were noted.
