Monitoring was undertaken at a development site at Rathdown Upper/Templecarrig Lower, Co. Wicklow. An assessment of the development had been carried out by Edmund O’Donovan in 2001 (Excavations 2001, No. 1379). That report recommended excavation of a small area of the proposed development, which was carried out by Ines Hagen in August 2002 (see No. 1990, Excavations 2002).

The programme of monitoring of topsoil removal in the remainder of the development site did not identify any archaeological material.
