Testing was undertaken in Roganstown in north County Dublin. The development includes the construction of a golf-course and a hotel. A cultural heritage report (dated 12 December 2000) identified a circular anomaly on an aerial photograph.

A single trench, 50m long and aligned north–south, was mechanically excavated to investigate the location of the anomaly. No archaeological features or artefacts were recovered from this trench.
