A development of 40 houses was undertaken by Cork County Council at Kilmoney, Carrigaline. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential of a ringfort and a possible souterrain. Monitoring of all ground disturbance was recommended. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted during the monitoring. As a result of recommendations from Dúchas, the ringfort was cleared of all overgrowth and debris under archaeological supervision, and it was agreed that regular maintenance of the ringfort would take place.
