A test excavation was conducted on 8 April before a golf-club extension. The greenfield area encompassed 30m2, in which one 15m trench was mechanically excavated to the surface of the subsoil. The depth of the topsoil and overlying tarmac and rubble was 0.5m. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
