Nine houses were proposed at this site on the Foxford Road, Swinford. There are three possible enclosures on considerably higher ground in the vicinity, but none within 50m of the development. A stream enclosing much of the northern half of the development site had a cornmill on its southern bank shown on the 1911 OS map. Monitoring of groundworks at the site failed to uncover any trace of the mill, nor any features or artefacts of antiquity. The ground here had been considerably disturbed.
