Test excavations were carried out at Ballycuddihy, Co. Kilkenny, on 20 October 2001 in advance of the construction of an agricultural building, as a condition of planning permission. The development site is c. 55m north-north-east of a 15th-century tower-house. Three test-trenches were excavated to the natural subsoil, revealing disturbance associated with an adjacent range of modern farm buildings. No features or finds of archaeological significance were uncovered.
