The site was originally identified during monitoring of topsoil-stripping associated with the N8 Glanmire–Watergrasshill Road Scheme. AR32 was in low-lying ground near a natural watercourse. An isolated cremation burial was revealed on the site with no accompanying pottery or other finds.
