Monitoring of the excavation of land drains and the removal of topsoil from the site of a housing development in Coolgarriv was undertaken to comply with a planning condition. A ringfort, SMR 66:32, is sited to the north-west of the site. Two possible fulachta fiadh were recorded in the southern portion of the development site. The excavation of these sites will take place in spring 2001.
