The full excavation of this site, within and adjacent to the city wall in Galway, which began in January 1998, continued with a further season’s work in the summer of 1999. The site contained the remains of a late 16th/early 17th-century house, a 17th-century citadel and an 18th-century military barracks.

The excavation report is ongoing, and it is hoped to include it in the forthcoming Galway Excavations Project publication.
