Three test-trenches were opened here in March 1999. A ringfort ditch was identified in each of the trenches. A subsequent excavation was carried out that exposed the northern arc of the ringfort ditch and evidence of the levelled bank, with both internal and external stone facing. No features associated with the ringfort were found. All finds were 18th/19th-century in date and post-dated the ringfort, with the exception of a ring pin.
